We all have guardian spirits, and for most of us they take
the form of animals known as power animals. Power animals differ from Totem animals
in that power animals are personal to us. Totem animals are guardian spirits for families, clans,
tribes, or groups of people. It is said that when we are
born a guardian spirit recognizes our vulnerability and offers
itself to protect us,to keep us healthy, strong, and power-filled. We
can have one, or many power animals or guardian spirits. If they
leave we can experience power loss. Similar to the process of soul
retrieval, a power animal retrieval restores this lost power which
can result in a feeling of increased vitality, improved health,
confidence, and sense of security.
We also have guardian ancestors, and other guardians in human form like angels, in addition
to power animals. They all serve to guide and protect us.
We might not always be aware of our power animals directly, but might indirectly experience them
as animals we are drawn to or have a special interest in, childhood stuffed animals that provided comfort,
or unique encounters with live animals.
Symptoms of power loss include: fatigue, chronic illness,
depression and patterns of bad luck or accidents.
